Money Matters, Math Night at the Parent Center is open to all students and families. This will be a real world application where sales tax, budgeting, and practical spending will be discussed. The Adult Basic Education/GED course is yet available every Tuesday and Thursday at the Parent Center 9:00-12:30 p.m. Since it's start in August, there have been two to complete. These students are now enrolled at Itawamba Community College to continue their education. Services are free of charge. Call the Parent Center for more information.
The technical career pathway can be the entrance into a financially sound decision. Students and families are encouraged to attend the "Will I be Ready for the Real World" presentation on tomorrow in the High School Library at 5:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Final state accountability results are in - Aberdeen Elementary grew 1 letter grade from a "D" to "C", Belle-Shivers grew 2 letter grades from a "F" to "C", Aberdeen High stayed a "B", and the district grew to a "C". Great job by our faculty, staff, and most importantly the students of Aberdeen School District!

MDE Announces Regional Meetings for K-3 Parents The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has announced a series of regional meetings across the state for parents of students in kindergarten through grade 3. These meetings will provide parents with an overview of the state law concerning literacy and assessment, as well as strategies that can be used at home to help student improve their reading skills. All meetings will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. No registration is required. Meeting dates and locations are as follows: Thursday, October 4: MSU Kahlmus Auditorium, Meridian Tuesday, October 9: Oxford Conference Center, Oxford Wednesday, October 10: Lowery A Woodall Advanced Technology Center, Hattiesburg Thursday, October 11: Bates Elementary School, Jackson Thursday, October 11: McWillie Elementary School, Jackson Monday, October 15: Adams County Safe Room, Natchez Tuesday, October 16: Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni House, Delta State University, Cleveland

The September School Board meeting will be held Monday, September 17 at 5:30 pm at the Resource Center.
Aberdeen School District will have a Fall Break on Friday, October 5th & Monday, October 8th. The District will be closed on these days. Also, teachers will engage in professional learning on Tuesday, October 9th. Students also have this day off. Enjoy Fall Break!
