HOW DO I APPLY?

The Aberdeen School District only accepts online applications.

To apply, click here and fill out the appropriate application for the position(s) in which you are interested. All applications must be submitted through this website.

For certified positions, please list your endorsement code(s) where the application has "code number".

Each application asks the question, “Have you ever been convicted of a felony:” While answering “yes” does not necessarily exclude someone from hire, failure to answer the question will make the application null and void.

Once you have applied, an email will be sent to you verifying that the application has been received. You will be notified through email if any changes to your status have been made.

The principal or supervisor who is hiring for each position is also notified when applications are received and will contact the applicants in whom they are interested to schedule interviews. This should be done through the online system, but may also occur by phone.

When the principal or supervisor has chosen a candidate to recommend for hire, that candidate will be contacted to schedule a background check. Background checks consist of taking fingerprints to send to both the State and FBI to report any criminal activity, and a search through the Child Abuse Registry. A drug screen is also required.
