The Aberdeen School District Board of Trustees will conduct a special called meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 6:00 pm.
Starting Monday, March 23rd, Schools will be open from 10:00 am - Noon and Central Office from 9:00 am - Noon. to answer any questions via the phone. During these very difficult times, please no visitors. In advance, thank you for your cooperation in these very difficult times.
Tips from the CDC include: Clean your hands often Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds after being in a public place or after coughing, blowing your nose or sneezing. If soap and water aren’t available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Distance yourself from other people if the coronavirus is spreading in your area. If you are sick Stay at home. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough and sneeze. Throw away used tissues. Wash your hands after you sneeze and cough. Wear a mask if you’re sick. Clean and disinfect surfaces daily.

Recently, MDE released the chronic absenteeism report. The state chronic absenteeism rate was 13.05% while Aberdeen School District was 13.41%. The chronic absenteeism rate at the schools were: AES - 10%, BSMS - 12.83%, AHS - 18.44%. Attendance Matters!

The basketball season is here! Come out on Monday, October 28 to the Meet the Bulldogs event in the AHS gymnasium at 5:00 p.m. All 7th through 12th grade basketball players will be introduced. There will be a $3 admission fee.

The Adult Basic Education/GED course is yet available every Tuesday and Thursday at the Parent Center 9:00-12:30 p.m. Since it's start in August, there have been two to complete. MDE Announces Regional Meetings for K-3 Parents The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has announced a series of regional meetings across the state for parents of students in kindergarten through grade 3. These meetings will provide parents with an overview of the state law concerning literacy and assessment, as well as strategies that can be used at home to help student improve their reading skills. All meetings will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. No registration is required.
