We’re thrilled to welcome Ms. Kashauna Pittman into her new leadership role as Assistant Principal of Belle-Shivers Middle School, effective July 1, 2025! 🎉
Ms. Pittman brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served as Instructional Coach at BSMS and AHS, as well as Testing Coordinator at Aberdeen High School. Her journey in education has been grounded in a deep belief in the power of relationships, instructional excellence, and purposeful leadership.
When asked what excites her most, Ms. Pittman shared:
“This role gives me the opportunity to lead with impact at a broader level, supporting teachers, building schoolwide systems, and creating an environment where students and staff feel valued, supported, and challenged to grow. It’s not just about managing the day-to-day, it’s about leading with purpose and building a school community we can all be proud of.”
Ms. Pittman’s experiences as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and schoolwide leader have shaped her strong foundation for this next step. From guiding professional development to supporting curriculum implementation, she has consistently led with intention, collaboration, and heart.

🌲 SSAC Takes on Old Mountain Outdoor Adventures 🚌🏞️
On Wednesday, May 21, members of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) traveled to Winona, MS, for a day of fun and team-building at Old Mountain Outdoor Adventures!
This trip was a well-deserved reward for these outstanding student leaders who have served as ambassadors, change-makers, and academic role models throughout the school year. From zip lines to obstacle courses, it was a day full of challenge, laughter, and Bulldawg pride!
