Meet Ms. Blanchard...
My name is Shana Blanchard. I am currently in my 18th year of teaching. I currently teach 7th grade social studies. I am a graduate of Mississippi State University and am certified to teach history and ELA. I chose to teach because I've always felt driven to be an educator. The joy I feel from facilitating the growth and development of students reaffirms my passion for teaching on a yearly basis. I want to make a difference in the lives of children in my community. I've dedicated my career to helping students master skills and concepts in multiple subjects. Even with the challenges in teaching, the feeling of watching my students have that "aha" learning moment never gets old. I'm passionate about developing relationships with students that help build a sense of confidence in them and enable each and every one of them to grow as learners.
