Meet Mrs. Deanes...
Hello, my name is Janet Deanes I live in West Point, Ms with my 6-year-old daughter, 13-year-old son, and my wonderful husband of 20 years. My love for children at an early age piqued my interest to become a teacher, but the ruling of my son gave me the heart to become a special education teacher. This is my 7th year working with Special Service. This will be my 3rd year as a 6th Inclusion Teacher at Belle-Shivers Middle School. I have been allotted the opportunity to work with grade level K 12. I began my educational career at the age of 19 while attending East Mississippi Community College Scooba, Ms working as a substitute teacher. I later became a teacher assistant for the West Point Consolidated School District in the severe and profound self-contained classroom. I earned my bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education and Psychology from Mississippi State University. I strongly believe that nurturing and nourishing all students should be all educators' utmost concern.
