MSBA Award

MSBA Annual Conference

We are thrilled to share some exciting news from the Aberdeen School District! Recently, our Board of Trustees and Superintendent had the privilege of attending the 52nd annual Mississippi School Board Association (MSBA) conference held in Flowood. This gathering brought together educational leaders from across the state to discuss innovative strategies, share best practices, and celebrate achievements in education.

We are delighted to share the thrilling news that the Aberdeen School District has been honored with not just one but two prestigious awards - the Mississippi School Board Association Lighthouse School Leader Lantern and Torch Awards. This recognition is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and excellence exhibited by the educators, staff, and students within our district.

These awards symbolize the commitment of our school community to provide exceptional education and support to our students. The Lighthouse School Leader Lantern Award acknowledges our district's outstanding leadership and innovative practices, while the Torch Award recognizes excellence in student achievement, instructional programs, and community engagement.

"We are proud of the collaborative efforts that have led to this moment and grateful for the unwavering support from our community," says Dr. Pastchal-Smith.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our educators, staff, students, parents, and community partners. Together, we continue to strive for excellence and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

As we celebrate this milestone, let us reaffirm our commitment to providing every student with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. Together, we will continue to shine brightly and inspire excellence in education.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the Aberdeen School District. Here's to many more achievements and successes in the future!

With Bulldawg Pride!
