📍 BLUF: AFJROTC Spring Semester Awards Program On April 5th, AHS AFJROTC cadets celebrated their annual Dining Out, which serves as the Spring Semester Awards Program. This special evening recognized cadets for their dedication, discipline, and leadership. 🏅 Cadets were honored with both local and national awards, presented by Col Williams, Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, and MSgt Nolan, the program’s new Aerospace Science Instructor. 🎖️ The evening was made even more memorable by the inspiring words of Command Sergeant Major (Ret) Robert Bishop, who served as the guest speaker. 📍 BLUF: AHS AFJROTC Cadets Explore STEM at CAFB Our AHS AFJROTC cadets recently visited Columbus Air Force Base (CAFB) for a hands-on learning experience that connected eco cars (EC), electric vehicles (EV), and STEM in aviation. 💡✈️🔋 From exploring cutting-edge technologies to deepening their understanding of STEM in real-world applications, our cadets represented Aberdeen with excellence and curiosity. AES Students Reach Over 3 Million Words Read! This week, Aberdeen Elementary students read an impressive 3,372,140 words through their AR program! It is imperative that students are reading their AR books and taking tests weekly to support comprehension and continued growth. At Aberdeen Elementary School, the goal is to foster a lifelong love of reading in every student, and the daily efforts of the faculty and staff make that possible.

✈️ Exciting News for Aberdeen School District! ✈️ Congratulations to our students in the Aberdeen High School Flight Academy! We are thrilled to announce that Aberdeen School District has officially unveiled the first aircraft in the State of Mississippi for High School students. This incredible investment will support our students in earning aviation hours and mechanic certifications. This incredible investment will open new doors for our students, providing hands-on experience in the world of aviation.

Attention Aberdeen School District Families and Staff: Due to forecasted inclement weather during morning arrival time, all Aberdeen School District schools and the Central Office will operate on a two-hour delayed start on Monday, March 31, 2025. Schools will begin at 9:30 a.m. Please stay safe and continue to monitor district communications for any further updates.
