Mississippi has raised the bar for school and district academic performance. Starting with the 2025-26 school year, schools and districts must meet higher standards to earn each A-F letter grade. The Mississippi Department of Education has developed resources to help district leaders, families, community members, and media understand what has changed and why, and what to look for when school and district grades are released in fall 2026.

🚨 District Closure Notice 🚨
Aberdeen School District will be closed on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026.
Students will return to learn on Tuesday, April 7, and all schools and district offices will resume normal operations.

Aberdeen High School will host a FAFSA Assistance Day today from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to support families with completing the FAFSA and the Mississippi Student Aid Application.
Parents and guardians are invited to come to the school and use available computers if they need help completing these important financial aid forms. Staff will be available to assist and answer questions to help ensure students have access to the resources needed for college and career opportunities after graduation.
