🚌💛 Happy School Bus Safety Week! 💛🚌 A huge shoutout to our amazing Transportation Department! Students, here are a few school bus safety tips to remember: 1. Arrive Early: Be at your bus stop at least 5 minutes early to avoid rushing. 2. Stay Visible: Stand back from the road and stay where the bus driver can see you. 3. Wait for the Bus to Stop Completely: Only approach the bus once it has come to a complete stop and the driver signals it's safe. 4. Use Handrails: Always use the handrail when boarding or exiting the bus to avoid tripping. 5. Sit Properly: Stay seated facing forward and keep the aisle clear. 6. Follow the Driver’s Instructions: Always listen to your bus driver and obey their directions for your safety. 7. Be Cautious Around the Bus: When getting off, cross in front of the bus and make sure the driver can see you. Never walk behind the bus. 8. Belle Shivers Middle School students will be taking the following benchmark assessments next week: October 1st – Math Benchmark October 2nd – ELA Benchmark October 3rd – Writing Benchmark October 4th- Science These assessments are crucial in helping us track student progress and identify areas for growth. Please ensure that your child gets plenty of rest, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time each day.

🎉 August Teacher of the Month: Ms. Heinbuch! 🎉 We are excited to introduce Ms. Heinbuch, our August Teacher of the Month at Belle Shivers Middle School! Ms. Heinbuch is in her 2nd year of teaching and is making a big impact in our 5th grade ELA class. Her dedication and passion for teaching shine through every day, and she’s always committed to helping her students learn and grow. Ms. Heinbuch says, "Teaching has always been my passion, and I love working with children. Having the opportunity to contribute to the education and growth of any child is a privilege that I am very proud to have." When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Heinbuch enjoys playing guitar, spending quality time with her family, and participating in her volunteer ministry.
