ATTN BSMS PARENTS: BSMS Hybrid Students will take the 2nd reading and math i-Ready diagnostic assessment during the week of February 7, 2020 from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. each morning. All students will test on their own Chromebook. Make sure the Chromebook is fully charged and remind your child to bring it with them for testing. Please encourage students to do their best work, to get plenty of rest each night, and to eat a good breakfast on test days.

ATTN BSMS PARENTS: We are experiencing internet issues on campus. Therefore, teachers aren’t able to sign in to Zoom sessions. We will notify you all when the internet is back up. This is a good time for students to catch up on missing assignments, or review what they have learned this week. Thank you for your patience.

BSMS parents, Tryouts for the Aberdeen High School softball team will be held January 19th and 20th from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Aberdeen High School . Students must submit a completed packet and have a current physical form on file. Please see Coach K. Davis to sign up, and students may email Coach Chapman at echapman@asdms.us to receive a packet.

Good afternoon, BSMS parents. During these virtual weeks of instruction, student attendance will be recorded by your child's presence on Zoom. Please ensure your child is present for each of his or her classes each day. Your assistance and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Good morning, BSMS Parents: Thanksgiving Break begins Monday, November 23 and ends Friday, November 27, 2020. All students will begin virtual classes for the week of November 30 - December 4, 2020. Please ensure that your child attends Zoom sessions and completes all assignments during the virtual week of classes. Attendance will be taken via Zoom. Hybrid students will return to school during the week of December 7, 2020. I hope and pray everyone has a safe, relaxing break.

BSMS PARENTS: At BSMS, we are celebrating students who exhibited good behavior 1st Nine Weeks & those who scored Level 3, 4, or 5 on their enCase assessments!! Students who did NOT receive a discipline referral 1st nine weeks, will receive a “Goody Bag”. Students who scored Level 3 on enCase will receive ONE dress down day pass. Students who scored level 4/5 will receive a TWO-day dress down pass! Good News: If your child is a distance learner, we are saving their dress down pass for when/IF they return! Dress down guidelines: No holes in jeans, no spaghetti strap shirts, no hoodies, & no slides. Shoes MUST have a strap on the back. We are so proud of our scholars!!

BSMS PARENTS: If you or your child purchased an Aberdeen Bulldog mask from BSMS, they will be distributed today and tomorrow to the hybrid students. If you purchased masks for a DL student, please come by the Shivers office from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. to pick up your mask(s).

BSMS PARENTS: If you are picking up Distant Learners this week after completing their Nine Weeks’ Exams, please join the car rider line on the back side of Shivers near the parking lot. Distance Learners will be released on that side to minimize traffic during bus dismissal. Thank you.

Parents should drop off the completed packet given last week and pick up a new packet. This will count towards your child’s attendance. Thank you.

BSMS Parents: Due to a scheduled professional development for BSMS staff on Friday afternoon, the scheduled time for packet pickup and return is from 8:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020. Parents of all grades must park on North Franklin Street and enter the building in the Shivers' foyer. Packets must be returned on Friday for attendance purposes. If they are not returned on Friday, students will be marked absent until packets are returned.
