Classes with Highest proficiency , growth and highest LPS growth!

Good Afternoon Team,

On behalf of the Aberdeen School District, we would like to give a special SHOUT-OUT to the following teachers whose classes earned the highest proficiency, growth of all, and highest LPS growth on the 3rd ELS Comprehensive Benchmark Test.

As we continue to prepare for the state assessments, we will recognize and award teachers and students who meet or exceed the district goals on the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program (MAAP) 2023.

Aberdeen Elementary School

ELA Teacher who earned the Highest Proficiency: Ms. Pilate - 22.22%

Math Teacher who earned the Highest Proficiency: Mrs. Richardson -  41.94%

 

Belle-Shivers Middle School

ELA Teacher who earned the Highest Proficiency: Ms. Nabors -  33.33%

ELA Teacher who earned the Highest Growth of All: Ms. Nabors - 58.10%

ELA Teacher who earned the Highest LPS Growth: Ms. Nabors -  66.18%

 

Math Teacher who earned the Highest Proficiency: Mr. Burnett -  40.32%

Math Teacher who earned the Highest Growth of All: Mrs. E. Williams - 89.39%

Math Teacher who earned the Highest LPS Growth: Mrs. E. Williams - 105%

 

Science Teacher who earned the Highest Proficiency: Mrs. Goode -  38%

 

Aberdeen High School

Algebra I End-of-Course Teacher who earned the Highest Proficiency:  Mrs. Barnes - 81.25%

English II End-of-Course Teacher who earned the Highest Growth of All: Mrs. Matthews-Quinn - 76.56%

English II End-of-Course Teacher earned the Highest LPS Growth: Mrs. Matthews-Quinn -  94.12%

1. Increase the academic performance level of all students

a. 50% of all students will be proficient in Reading and Math

e. 80% of all LPS (Bottom 25%) will show growth in Reading and Math
