teacher Appreciation Week Thank YOu!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! On behalf of the Aberdeen School District, I would like to express my gratitude to you, our teachers, for the work you do each day to ensure the success of all our students. As teachers, you provide the high-quality instruction and support our students need to graduate college and career ready. You create lessons aligned with the standards and design activities to keep all students engaged in the learning process.  The impact you make daily is astronomical.

We greatly appreciate all teachers’ commitment to growth and adapting to changes to ensure all students are successful. Our students are excelling in the classroom, discovering and solidifying their post-graduation plans, and improving themselves in various ways as they seize the challenges they will face in the next chapter of their lives. Our students’ needs are continuously evolving- requiring teachers to approach teaching in new, creative ways.
The field of education is one of the most rewarding professions. In partnership with the administrators and staff, teachers serve as mentors and an integral piece of the puzzle to meet the needs of the whole child.

Our classified staff provides tremendous support to our students and families as well. Often they work behind the scenes to ensure that various details are addressed, during the school day. We recognize and appreciate their care for logistics, data entry, cleaning and maintenance, technology, nutrition, and more. From the classroom to the playground, I would like to thank you, our classified staff,  for your support and for being a reflection of the value our community holds for our school district. The commitment, dedication, and work ethic our staff model daily are a continuous source of inspiration.

As educators, we can all remember the great teachers who made an impact on our lives. With that in mind, we appreciate all you do each day. This week and beyond, we celebrate you and your commitment to excellence in the Aberdeen School District.

With gratitude,

Andrea Pastchal-Smith, Ph.D.
