The Aberdeen School District is proud to welcome Mrs. Candi Moore-Saul as our Interim Superintendent. With 25 years of experience in public education, Mrs. Moore-Saul brings a wealth of knowledge, proven leadership, and a steadfast commitment to student success.
Throughout her distinguished career, she has served in a variety of educational leadership roles, giving her a comprehensive understanding of teaching, learning, school leadership, and district operations. Her professional experience includes six years as a classroom teacher, five years as an assistant principal, ten years as a principal, and four years as Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Mrs. Moore-Saul's leadership has consistently produced measurable results. During her first year as a principal, she successfully transformed a failing school into a successful one and continued to build on that momentum throughout her tenure.
Under her leadership, she provided guidance that maintained an A-rated school until her departure, spanning four consecutive years.
She holds an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership from Union University and is a graduate of the Mississippi School Boards Association (MSBA) Superintendent Academy. Her dedication to educational excellence has earned her recognition as a SWIFT Transformational Leader for advancing systemic school improvement and developing inclusive educational practices. In addition, her work has been featured nationally by the SWIFT Center, highlighting the successful implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve student achievement and strengthen schoolwide systems.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Moore-Saul has built a reputation for improving school performance, strengthening instruction, developing effective leaders, implementing sustainable systems, and fostering collaborative school cultures where both students and educators can thrive.
As Interim Superintendent, Mrs. Moore-Saul is committed to leading with integrity, transparency, collaboration, and accountability. She believes every decision should be centered on what is best for students and looks forward to working alongside the Board of Trustees, district employees, families, and the Aberdeen community to continue moving the district forward.
