BSMS Employee of the Week

Greetings! My name is Ms. Tomeka Trevillion. I am a native of Jackson, MS and migrated to Aberdeen after graduating from Mississippi State University. Hail State! Special Education is my area of concentration. I have been fortunate and blessed to be a teacher in Aberdeen School District for my entire 20 years of teaching… Go Bulldogs! Starting my career as a second and third-grade Self-Contained Teacher, I now serve as a proud fourth-grade Inclusion Teacher at Belle-Shivers Middle School. With the support of my awesome administrators, amazing fourth-grade colleagues, and the incorporation of Capturing Kids’ Hearts, I have been able to create a positive, fun, engaging learning environment for my students. This has greatly contributed to my success in the classroom. My purpose in life is to teach, guide, love, and encourage my students (academically, socially, and emotionally), but they do so much more for me! I strive to guide my students on how to be productive citizens. Citizens, not just for our school, but for the city of Aberdeen, the state of Mississippi, and The United States of America. I take educating my students seriously considering my life will soon be in their hands.

My Favorite Quote

In the words of Walter Elias Disney a.k.a. Walt Disney, “Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it, they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.”
