Happy Holidays! The Aberdeen School District will release students on the 60% schedule on Friday, December 20, 2019. Winter break will be from Monday, December 23, 2019, through Friday, January 3, 2020. School resumes on Monday, January 6, 2020.
We still have yearbooks from previous years for sale at the Parent Center 1948, 1964, 1966, 1972, 1982, 1984, 2003, 2004, and 2011
The ASD Parent Center will host the Monroe County Girl Scouts interest meeting on Thursday, December 12 at 5:00 p.m.There is room for new troop leaders and scouts!
Aberdeen High School will recognize 14 new members of the ACT Club during the December board meeting, December 16. Great Job!
Recently, MDE released the chronic absenteeism report. The state chronic absenteeism rate was 13.05% while Aberdeen School District was 13.41%. The chronic absenteeism rate at the schools were: AES - 10%, BSMS - 12.83%, AHS - 18.44%. Attendance Matters!
Attendance Matters!! Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing 10% or more of the time enrolled for any reason, which includes excused and unexcused absences and suspensions.
All students and staff at the Aberdeen High School will be photographed on Monday, November 4.
Remember to look your best as these shots will be placed in the 2020 yearbook.
JROTC students gladly expressed their excitement about the renovations being done with WTVA today.
The basketball season is here! Come out on Monday, October 28 to the Meet the Bulldogs event in the AHS gymnasium at 5:00 p.m. All 7th through 12th grade basketball players will be introduced. There will be a $3 admission fee.

Friday's Home Football game has been moved to Thursday, October 24 against North Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 17th, the district will have Parent/Teacher Conference day. Students will not be in session and the conference hours will be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The district will be closed on Friday, October 18th and Monday, October 21st for Fall Break.
The "All Eyes on Us" 2020 yearbook can be purchased now at the best rate of the year until October 26th! At this time the order will include your name and up to four free icons on the cover. Senior ads are yet available on a first come basis. Order online or in-person soon!
