🚌💛 Happy School Bus Safety Week! 💛🚌 A huge shoutout to our amazing Transportation Department! Students, here are a few school bus safety tips to remember: 1. Arrive Early: Be at your bus stop at least 5 minutes early to avoid rushing. 2. Stay Visible: Stand back from the road and stay where the bus driver can see you. 3. Wait for the Bus to Stop Completely: Only approach the bus once it has come to a complete stop and the driver signals it's safe. 4. Use Handrails: Always use the handrail when boarding or exiting the bus to avoid tripping. 5. Sit Properly: Stay seated facing forward and keep the aisle clear. 6. Follow the Driver’s Instructions: Always listen to your bus driver and obey their directions for your safety. 7. Be Cautious Around the Bus: When getting off, cross in front of the bus and make sure the driver can see you. Never walk behind the bus. 8. Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like using your phone or headphones when around the bus. #SchoolBusSafetyWeek #ThankYou #BulldawgPride #PawsOnTheGround

🚌💛 Happy School Bus Safety Week! 💛🚌 A huge shoutout to our amazing Transportation Department! Every day, our dedicated bus drivers and staff go above and beyond to keep our students safe as they travel to and from school. Your hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we’re incredibly grateful for all that you do to ensure the safety of our children. Let’s take a moment to thank them for their service and celebrate the incredible team that makes it all possible! 👏🚍💙 Parents, here are 3 school bus safety tips to remember: 1. Teach Safety Rules: Go over basic bus safety rules with your children, like staying seated and keeping voices at a low level. 2. Accompany Young Children: For younger students, it’s a good idea to accompany them to the bus stop and wait for them after school. 3. Be Visible: When waiting with children, wear bright colors or reflective gear in low light for safety. #SchoolBusSafetyWeek #ThankYou #BulldawgPride #PawsOnTheGround

Mrs. Bell's 1st Grade class uses manipulatives to add 3 numbers, show teen numbers, find missing addends, and solve addition and subtraction problems within 20. We are so proud of Mrs. Bell and her class for their hard work, eagerness to learn, and dedication to their studies.

It is homecoming week throughout the district, and although students were dressed in character, learning is still taking place. Mr. Pearson's Foundation of Algebra class had their Functions Skittles activity today which involved scooping skittles from cups using different size “scoops”. These scoops represented varying rates of change. Students, after rotating with their scoops, compared the graphs to every other group on the board. They noted that while each graph had negative slopes, they changed at different rates based on the scoop sizes. They discussed how their findings could be applied to measuring data in businesses tracking profits. We are proud of our students and teachers throughout the district as they chase that "A".
