Aberdeen Schools: Good evening! The Office of Federal Programs will host its Annual Title I Planning meeting in conjunction with the Parent University, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held at the ASD Central Office, located at 1100 W. Commerce St. We look forward to collaborating with you and hearing your feedback. Light refreshments will be served. The Aberdeen School District is providing this notice of intent to apply for the Nita M. Lowery 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant to benefit Aberdeen Elementary, Belle-Shivers & Aberdeen High Schools. The purpose of the CCLC program is to provide opportunities for academic enrichment activities during non-school hours or periods when school is not in session, such as before and after school or during summer recess. The Aberdeen School District is the Local Education Agency responsible for submitting the application for funding, and the application is due August 29, 2023. Due to the threat of inclement weather/hazardous road conditions, the Aberdeen School District will have a 2 hour delayed start of school on Friday, February 3, 2023. Faculty and staff will report at 9:00 a.m. and students at 9:30 a.m. School buses will begin routes at 8:00 a.m. The safety of our faculty, staff, and students is our top priority. Stay safe!
