Congratulations to the Aberdeen School District for receiving $6,500.00 from the McFarlane Grant through the CREATE Foundation. "A portion of the funding will be utilized for the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council to promote leadership opportunities and to travel to colleges and universities to expose our students to how to prepare for the next level and to make sure they are college and career-ready," said district Superintendent of Schools Dr. Andrea Pastchal-Smith. Aberdeen High School Principal Tracy Fair said some of the funding would be used for campus beautification projects lined up for 12th graders. AHS will also use a portion for student incentives to increase academic growth and for opportunities for students to attend workshops to build leadership skills.
