Aberdeen Schools: Good evening! The Office of Federal Programs will host its Annual Title I Planning meeting in conjunction with the Parent University, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 5:30pm. The Aberdeen School District is providing this notice of intent to apply for the Nita M. Lowery 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant to benefit Aberdeen Elementary, Belle-Shivers & Aberdeen High Schools. The purpose of the CCLC program is to provide opportunities for academic enrichment activities during non-school hours or periods when school is not in session, such as before and after school or during summer recess. The Aberdeen School District is the Local Education Agency responsible for submitting the application for funding, and the application is due August 29, 2023. Due to the threat of inclement weather/hazardous road conditions, the Aberdeen School District will have a 2 hour delayed start of school on Friday, February 3, 2023. Faculty and staff will report at 9:00 a.m. and students at 9:30 a.m. School buses will begin routes at 8:00 a.m. The safety of our faculty, staff, and students is our top priority. Stay safe!

BSMS's October Parent Meeting will be held on October 18 from 5pm-6pm. We will begin in the BSMS Library then dismiss to varying locations per grade level to play "COMMUNICATE the STANDARDS". Students who have parents attending will receive an incentive! Please come out!
ASD is excited to announce tonight at the Bulldog Football game students who received academic excellence on their 21-22 MAAP testing will be celebrated. These student will participate in the run-through with the Bulldog Football team and Cheerleaders. These students will meet at the Thomas Pierce Field House at 6:30PM.

Mr. Willie Stewart and his daughter Ms. Michelle Stewart were granted permission by Aberdeen School District School Board to donate to renovate Belle-Shivers gymnasium free of charge to the school district. The project will be funded by District 4 Road Supervisor, Fulton Ware.
